In this video Stephan Roelofs, founder of AnoniemeZorg.nl, explains what we can do for you as colleague.

Are you worried about a colleague?

  • My colleague's behavior and motivation has changed (in a negative sense).
  • My colleague looks bad and has less attention for personal hygiene.
  • My colleague suffers from mood swings.
  • I can no longer rely on my colleague; an agreement is no longer an agreement.
  • My colleague is increasingly late for work or leaves unexpectedly.
  • My colleague makes mistakes more often and easily dismisses these.
  • My colleague often reacts in a violent manner when I confront him about something.
  • My colleague avoids me and appointments are often cancelled.

Don't hesitate to get in touch with us. We are here for you!

There is a solution

However, this solution is not looking the other way.

We understand how difficult it is to start a conversation on this topic with a colleague. You have a distinct feeling that things are not going well, but what is the right move to make? You don’t want to be the person that causes your colleague to report with HR or management.

It may even be the case that initiating the conversation is part of your responsibilities, but you have doubts about how to engage in such a conversation?

Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us, you can tell us your story and share your concerns. This alone can be a huge relief already. We will then discuss how to help your colleague in the best way. And our contact is safe, discrete and anonymous for you as well.

We can help you!

When a colleague suffers from substance use disorder or addiction, this will have its impact on the workplace and the performance of others in an organization.

You wonder if you’re seeing it right and have doubts that you might be overreacting? And what will happen when your colleague needs to report to HR or management because of your actions? How will your colleague react if you bring it up? All these kinds of questions prevent that colleagues step up from themselves and seek help.

We think that this should change. We can choose to do it differently.

Contact us, we can help you on this path. You don’t have to do it alone

How can we help you?

We are people with a hands on mentality, who help other solve problems. The possible solution starts with you taking action. You don’t have to do it alone. Contact us, open up about what is on your mind and together we will discuss your options.

Everybody and every problem is unique. That is why we are specialized in customization. When you get in touch we think about the best solution for the specific situation. We have the experience, expertise and network to support you properly and quickly. We support you with what you need and what suits you and your current situation

We can
  • Release you of the burden that is weighing on your shoulders. Sharing your concerns about your colleague with another person is already a huge relief
  • Provide you with tools by which you can start a conversation with your colleague.
  • Help your colleague, and we can do that because you take you responsibility by taking this first step.

Case study

Jan has worked with Theo for many years. Theo has always been a great colleague. But lately, Theo has been less reliable. He often comes in late, starts to get sloppy in his work. Jan knows that Theo has always been a heavy drinker. Recently Jan smelled the alcohol on the breath of Theo. He was brave enough to confront Theo about this. Theo promised to cut back, he said that his current drinking pattern was just a phase, ‘it will pass…’. But it didn’t get better. In fact, Theo looked worse every day. Jan didn’t want to be a squealer. That was the moment that Jan decided to cal us. Together with Jan, we entered into a conversation with Theo, without the employer being informed. Currently Theo is being treated in an outpatient facility.

This story is based on a true story, however names and circumstances are fictitious for privacy reasons.
